These Fun and Festive Firework Cupcakes are perfect for celebrating any special occasion. With red, white, and blue frosting and silver star accents, they are not only delicious but also visually stunning.

Cupcake Batter:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3 ½ cups flour
- 2 tsp baking powder

- 1 tsp salt
Frosting and Decoration:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- ½ tsp salt
- 2–3 tbsp milk
- Royal Blue gel food coloring
- Super Red gel food coloring
- Silver star sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Heat the oven to 350 degrees and line muffin tins with cupcake liners.
- Prepare the cupcake batter: Cream butter and sugar, add eggs, milk, sour cream, and vanilla. Mix in dry ingredients until combined.
- Bake the cupcakes: Fill cupcake liners with batter and bake for 14-16 minutes. Cool completely.
- Make the frosting: Cream butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt. Add milk and mix until smooth and fluffy.
- Color the frosting: Divide frosting into three bowls and tint one red, one blue, and leave one white.
- Decorate the cupcakes: Pipe stripes of blue, white, and red frosting on each cupcake. Top with silver star sprinkles.
