Tortellini:
- 1 (9-ounce) package refrigerated cheese tortellini
Breading:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Other:
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- Marinara sauce, for serving
Instructions
- Cook the Tortellini: Cook tortellini according to package directions, then drain and let cool.
- Prepare Breading: Place flour in one shallow bowl. In a second bowl, whisk together eggs and milk. In a third bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
- Coat Tortellini: Dredge each tortellini in flour, then dip in the egg mixture, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Fry Tortellini: Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Fry tortellini in batches for 2–3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Drain and Serve: Remove fried tortellini and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with marinara sauce for dipping.
