- Salt and black pepper, to taste
For the Pasta:
- 8 oz linguine
- Salted water, for boiling
- ¼ cup reserved pasta water
For the Cowboy Butter Sauce:
- ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- ¼ cup chicken broth
- ¼ cup heavy cream
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta – Boil salted water and cook linguine until al dente. Reserve pasta water.
- Season and Sear the Chicken – Season chicken and sear in a skillet until cooked.
- Make the Cowboy Butter Sauce – Prepare a buttery sauce with garlic, broth, cream, and seasonings.
- Bring It All Together – Combine chicken, sauce, and linguine in the skillet.
- Finish and Serve – Garnish with parsley, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Serve hot.

- You can adjust the spice level by increasing or decreasing the amount of cayenne pepper and red pepper flakes.
- For a creamier sauce, add more heavy cream to your liking.
